Welcome to Year 4

Dear Year 4 – Week one
Welcome to the new and wonderful experience of doing maths in your pyjamas!
As you know, our next unit of work is based on money. Here I have put together the lessons as well as some questions that will cover everything we need to know for year 4. Read through each of the lessons and complete the guided practice. Then work through the questions for each learning objective. I will send you the answers at the end of the week for you to check. If you finish the lesson work, then I have included some problem solving questions (like we have in class) for you to answer – don’t forget, a worded question needs a worded answer. Use models, calculations and statements to show your understanding. I have already put up the money unit on the My Maths homework – if you are stuck, do the lesson before you do the homework. You are aiming to get 100% on all of these.
Don’t forget, practice your timetables every day.
Week 1 - 23/03/20
Dear Year 4,
I hope you are all well and keeping safe!
Here is your English work for this week. You should do the work in the exercise book you have taken home.
If you have any questions or you are worried about anything, please email me and I will try to answer you the same day.
Record what you have done on your weekly diary and send it to me by email. I will get back to you when I receive your work. This week I would like to see the Independent writing piece, which you should email to me.
Remember, in addition you should be reading for 30 minutes every day and listen in to the class story on the school’s YouTube account.

asked you to do. Have fun!
In R.E. we’ve been looking at the idea of Symbolism specifically the Empty Cross. This concept has been based on Christianity and we have been looking at the Easter Story.
